Nets At A Loss To Find Ways Of Winning
The Nets just do not know what to do anymore. In a the game they played against the 76ers, Vince Carter ended up missing his last 14 shots and this resulted in a 99-86 loss.
Prior to this game, the Nets lost to Celtics in overtime and now they have lost two consecutive games and also to two of the so-called worst teams in the NBA.
After the game against 76ers, Carter said that Nets could not lose game especially against teams that are considered to be weak.
The Nets would now be heading to Texas where they will have to take on three of the top five teams of the Western Conference while still hanging on to the final spot playoff spot in the East hopefully. There are just 22 games remaining and the Nets are at 28-32. They are just half a game ahead of the Knicks in the conference standings.
However, if the Nets continue playing the way they have been doing in the last two games, they will not make it to the playoffs. With less than three minutes left in the first quarter, the Nets were leading the 76ers 24-7. And while they were playing the Celtics, they were ahead by 10 points with 2 minutes 40 seconds left in the game before Boston got their act together and ended up winning in overtime.
The Nets are still optimistic about making it to the playoffs. It might be because they have got used to their inconsistent play, they are still positive with it comes to attitude. Lawrence Frank said that the team was disappointed losing the two games to 76ers and Celtics but they still have a lot of life left in the team.
